King & Country -- suppliers of authentic, hand made 1/32 scale toy soldiers, models and collectible figures, vehicles and scenery, from different eras, including World War II -- released their very first series of Canadian WWII figures earlier this month, titled "On Juno Beach."
"On D. Day Canadian troops were assigned JUNO BEACH in the British sector as their principal landing area. From then on our Canadian cousins fought heroically through Normandy and France into Belgium and Holland and finally into the black heart of the Third Reich. K&C is both proud and humble to honour and portray these brave soldiers... in miniature."
The figures are from the Canadian Scottish Regiment of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. 82 men of the regiment were killed in June 1944 alone -- 74 in the first week.
